Featured Speaker: Heath Mello | Greater Omaha of Chamber

Heath Mello serves as President and CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber, where he leads the organization’s mission to champion a thriving business community and foster a prosperous regional economy. With more than 20 years of experience spanning government relations, fundraising, higher education, and nonprofit leadership, he brings a proven track record of building strategic partnerships, securing critical resources, and advancing public policy initiatives that drive economic growth.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Mello served as Vice President for External Relations at the University of Nebraska System. In this role, he supported the system’s strategic vision and priorities while strengthening its reputation and engagement with key external stakeholders, including policymakers, business leaders, and community partners.
Mello holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and is completing his Master of Public Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is deeply committed to public service and is passionate about advancing economic development, innovation, and collaboration to strengthen communities in Omaha and throughout the region.
